Miranda Lambert performed at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska on July 30, 2016 on the “Keeper of the Flame” tour.
Admittedly, I do not know much about country music. I do know names like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, and a quite a few more. I most definitely recognize Miranda Lambert. Do I know her music as if I know Metallica? No. Did I enjoy her show? Yes, most definitely.
Miranda Lambert has a spectacular stage presence and the production matches it. I could tell that some songs meant more to her emotionally than others, most notably was “Vice.” I could almost feel the hurt in this song and see that is was as powerful as it was painful for her to perform. Other popular songs included “White Liar”, “The House That Built Me”, and “Kerosene.” My personal favorite was the first song of the night, “Fastest Girl in Town.”
Miranda also covered Mountain’s “Mississippi Queen” and Johnny Winter’s “Rock & Roll Hoochie Coo.” They were good, but as a rock and roll guy, they did not feel right to me.
The Miranda Lambert show is good, really good. Country fan or not, you will enjoy her performance.
